Recently, the “Shanghai Information and Communications Industry Business Environment Optimization and Enterprise Global Expansion Empowerment Seminar,” jointly organized by the Task Force for Enhancing the Business Environment of the Information and Communications Industry under the Shanghai Communications Administration and the China Institute for the Legalized Business Environment at East China University of Political Science and Law, was held in Shanghai. In her remarks, Yang Haiyan pointed out that cultural differences have become one of the more concealed yet far-reaching risk factors in the globalization of Chinese enterprises. Unlike visible risks related to systems and compliance, cultural differences are often reflected in values, communication styles, decision-making logic, governance structures, and social expectations. If not properly addressed, they can easily escalate into crises of trust, compliance conflicts, or even project failure.
